Object description

The Alte Messe West area comprises plots ranging from 5,000 m² to 20,000 m² and is part of an urban planning competition organized by the City of Leipzig. The winning design envisages floor areas of around 50,000 m². Building elements with up to four storeys and a high point with up to ten storeys are planned. The aim is to create a lively quarter with a focus on research and science facilities and a lively center with an urban character for art and culture.

 The focus is also on preserving the Kohlrabi circus and its sustainable use.
