Haema is the largest independent blood donation service in Germany. The nationally active company provides a wide range of blood products and provides comprehensive services in transfusion
medicine. With over one million blood and plasma donations annually, the company makes a significant contribution to the supply of blood products in Germany. Two types of blood products are
manufactured from the collected donations: Finished medicinal products for use in patient care and blood plasma as a raw material for the pharmaceutical industry as well as products for the
manufacture of vital medical preparations.
Haema AG employs over 1,200 people at its headquarters in Leipzig and at 41 donation centres in Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony,
Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.
